Traveling to a foreign country may pose unique health considerations and a need for you to take special precautions. The Medical Group is pleased to announce a new clinical service to assist patients:

• Understand the disease risks in foreign countries,
• Review preventive measures, and
• Provide the necessary immunizations.

Serious health risks, including contagious diseases, still exist in many countries around the world. The staff of our Travel Clinic will meet with you to review precautions for the prevention of illness (food, water, mosquito precautions) and make sure you are up-to-date on all the necessary immunizations before you embark on your trip.

Immunizations may be necessary for one or more disease risks, such as yellow fever, typhoid, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, tetanus / diphtheria / pertussis, measles / mumps and rubella, polio and others. Prophylaxis may also be advisable for malaria and diarrheal diseases.
