Patients often need tests or specialty evaluations that require “referral” processing to assure payment by insurance plans. Staff of The Medical Group will assist you with the referral process. We will confirm that a referral is in place prior to your appointment with providers of The Medical Group. If we are referring you for care or tests to another practice or entity, we will process the referral to your insurance plan as necessary for purposes of insurance coverage.
Referrals are generally verified within 48 hours of an appointment or procedure. Patients may call us within this time frame to verify that the referral(s) are in place.
Any referral issues raised by your insurance plan will be brought to your attention.
